Project Goal : To strengthen early warning and decision support systems for sustainable agricultural development in Africa. 

The specific project objectives are:

…To promote food security under conditions of climate extremes, with appropriate technologies, adaptation strategies, and pioneering, sustainable solutions;

…To develop and strengthen integrated and coordinated early warning systems of weather and climate risk management to reduce the impact of weather and climate extremes on the agriculture sector;

…To create an interactive web portal with tools, services, resources, and training modules for local applications;

…To implement an operational resource delivery system in a demand-driven, user-friendly format for timely dissemination;

…To provide decision support for the user community;

…To provide on-site training for hands-on education; and,

…To promote participatory multidisciplinary applications and capacity development with stakeholder involvement.
